The election is happening this summer, finishing in August 2020.

For too long, the Tories have starved local government of funding. This has to end so they can fight coronavirus.

By easing the lockdown too early, sending mixed messages, and changing the national information slogans from red to green, the Government is risking lives.

The coronavirus has spread fear and uncertainty throughout our country. However, there has also been a wonderful response of community spirit.

The government responds to pressure. Herd immunity was overturned by the force of political and public opposition. We must now do the same for PPE, for testing, and improve our response to this crisis.

In the weeks ahead, as the government seeks to loosen the lockdown while containing the COVID-19 pandemic, it is likely to introduce measures that in ordinary times would constitute serious violations of our civil liberties.
